Morning and what a beautiful sunny one, except that I am freezing even with the heating on my hands are frozen, hey ho....
I just love the Designer papers in the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue and guess what ... they are FREE
Yes that's right FREE. For every £45 spent you can choose an item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue for FREE and as well as the usual 4 stamp sets this year there is a pack of designer papers as well and they are gorgeous.

For the card below I have used:
Pear Pizaz, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla Card Stock
Inks: Pear Pizaz, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait

I have embossed the centre of the card with the Square Lattice embossing folder.
The strip of designer paper on each side is from the Sale-a-Bration calalogue and is called 'Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper'
The image in the centre is stamped with the stamp set 'You Are Loved' from the mini catalogue, see how it matches the designer paper, I have used Stampin'Write Markers to colour the stamp.
I cut the oval using the Designer Frames and then finished of with some Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and a glimmer brad.
Again the Designer paper for the next to cards is from the Everyday Enchantment Papers.
For the card directly below I have used Peach Parfait and Night of Navy Card, added an Antique Brad to some Crochet Trim (Victoria).
I have used Fancy Flower punch, 5 Petal punch and the Boho Blossoms punch for the flower.

This one is made using Lucky Limeade and Night of Navy card stock
Again an Antique Brad around some Night of Navy Satin Ribbon, sadly the Night of Navy is retired but there are loads of other colours to choose from.
The greeting on both these cards is stamped in Whisper White Ink and the text is from the set 'Petite Pairs

Congratulations

One of the teachers at work got engaged last weekend so I made the cards below, one is for me to give them and the other is for my friend to give them.

The card base is Crumb Cake I have also used Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler card
The stamp sets used are 1 (Heart) Hearts, Perfect Punches both in the current catalogue, Leibe Love Amour which is in the Mini catalogue and the two little birds are from Love You Much which is a retired set.
Inks: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and VersaMark
Punches: 6cm Scallop Circle, 1 1/4 circle punch, scallop trim border punch and small heart punch.
I have added some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding to tie the card together and popped a single Rhinestone in to the centre of the Scallop Circle..

This card is made using Whisper White and Real Red Card.
The stamped text is from 2 now retired stamp set.. Cheer and Wishes and Occasional Quotes
The Pennants were punched out using Petite Pennants Builder punch and the congratulation has been punched out with the modern label punch.

Flowers For You

I don't know if you have woken up to the same sight as me this morning, a beautiful white blanket of snow covering everything.
I thought I would stay in the warm this morning and post a couple of cards.

This first card I have used Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.
Riding Hood Red and Basic Black Ink.

The flower is from the stamp set You Are Loved which is in the Mini Catalogue page 12. (Don't tell Peter but I am also using this set to make his Valentine Card).
The Text is from the sale.a.bration set Elementary Elegance.

I have embosed the red card on the bottom of the card using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

SHADOW CARD (sorry this photo is not too good)
This card has also been stamped using a set from the Mini Catalogue called Charming (on page 7).
The text if from the hostess set also in the mini and is called Swirls & Curls Verses I think it is really cute. I have punched it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" punched circle.
The card stock is Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Garden Green and Baja Breeze
I have used the new 6 cm Scallop Circle punch to punch the window which is also available in the Mini Catalogue.

I am sure that most of you will know how to make a shadow card but just in case here are some dimensions for the one above.
It is so easy to make this type of card. You need 2 pieces of card 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" Score down the two short sides at 1/2" and 1" on both pieces of card. Fold the 2 outside score lines in a valley fold and the two inner score lines in a mountain fold. Do this on both pieces of card. Punch your window out of one piece of card and decorate as desired. Decorate the inside of the other piece of card . Lastly stick the two outside flaps on both pieces of card together to form your shadow card.

A Box and 3 Cards

I have to begin this post by saying I am so sorry that I haven't posted for nearly 2 months.

The build up to Christmas was tough but such a joy, My Son, Daughter in Law and Granddaughter arrived on the 9th December and I had to get all my Christmas gifts bought, wrapped and stored up in the loft before they arrived as space is at a premium in my home.

Once they arrived I just wanted to spend as much time as possible with them especially my darling grandaughter Sofia who was 2 on January the 2nd.
I also had to contend with a new computer and getting my head around Windows 7 it is wildly different from what I had before (which was probably ~Windows 16th Century). Also once the family left on the 3rd Jan (they live in Dubai) I kind of lost my mojo. We keep finding little things that Sofia had left, like a tiny plastic figure in the Calgon box, her little toy wisk in the wine rack and little paper star stickers stuck in the letter box etc.etc. We miss them so much.

Anyway I am getting there slowly but surely. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and to everyone reading this I wish you a truly Happy New Year.

I made the three cards below using Faith in Nature stamp set (page 11 in the current catalogue), I have had it for a while but not got down to using it. I have used Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Very Whisper White Card Stock.

I stamped the images with StazOn ink and then daubbed the colour over the images.

I also used the scallop trim border and corner punches.

Having made the cards I decided to make a box to keep them in this I did in Pear Pizzazz.

Chalked Image

I have never really done a lot with chalks, so decided to have a go today.
I stamped the image in versa mark and then used cotton puds to apply chalk, rubbing gently over the versa mark.

The card stock is Crumb Cake, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla
Chalks: Rose Red and Old Olive
The text is from Happiest Birthday Wishes

1. A double dutch fold card (not sure if I liked Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder together)
2. A nest of 3 little boxes. Made with Brushed Silve and Brushed Gold Card
3. A cupcake box using River Rock and Peach Parfait Card

Easy Events is one of the new stamp sets in the new 2011/2012 catalogue and I just love it.

For the first 2 cards I have used the new Brushed Silver and Brushed God card stock I think they are gorgeous.

I then used Whisper White for two of the cards and Very Vanilla for the remaining 4.

I coloured the images with write markers and a blender pen. ( I rubbed a little of the colour onto a clear block or acetate and picked up a little of the colour on my blender pen, a quick dab onto scrap paper to remove excess ink and then coloured in the image) So quick and easy.

Don't ask me why I put an extra green layer around this image, because I have no idea. It would probably have been better with just the one layer like the remaining cards, hey ho...

Well isn't the weather behaving very strangley at the moment, Bonfire night is almost upon us and I am still going out without a coat.

I love using the two colours Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake together and using the Hostess Stamp set Simply Soft, the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder I finished up with this card

Inks used are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake

I threaded some Gold Elastic Cord (sadly retired) through the Lace Ribbon Punch to finish of.

For this card I used the wonderful stamp-a-majig, I don't know what I did before I had one of these, they really do enable you to position your stamped image exactly where you want it.

O' Christmas Tree

Hello lovely friends,
I couldn't stop playing with the lovely Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch yesterday evening. This is what I ended up with.
I stamped the trees using the small snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes stamp set in Always Artichoke inks. I also used the same stamp to stamp snowflakes in the sky using Whisper White in (you can't see them too clearly in the photo.

To create the snowy hills I just tore up strips of white card and covered the tops with dazzling diamonds glitter.

I really really love punch art and have seen so many amazing things created by so many amazing people over the last week or two that I thought I would sit down get out a load of punches and have a go. This is what I came up with.

The Punches used are:
1 3/4" , 1 3/8" , 1 1/4" , 1" Circle Punches for the bodies.
Large Heart Punch for the arms.
Modern Label for the legs.
Fancy Flower Punch for the hat.

I think they look quite happy, don't you.

This amazing stamp is from the new catalogue which goes live on the 1st October. The set is called Forever Young and has 5 stamps in it don't you think it is lovely (not necessarily my card but the stamp. I will be doing some cards using the other stamps in this set so come back soon.

I stamped the girl on the swing separately, cut her our and then used dimensionals to mount her on the card.

Because of health problems I couldn't hold our usual craft day last month but this months went ahead and it was just so so so.... good to get together, from the left Suzy, Christina, Wendy, Trish and Kay and I am behind the camera.

These are what we made:

The first two cards were inspired by some cards I saw at a Training Day in July, I am so sorry I can't remember who actually created the original design.
This card I have used the bleaching method...
Firstly I stamped the design in versa mark onto Soft Suede card and heat embossed with Black embossing powder.

I then used bleach and a thin brush to bleach out the colour in the design, I was thrilled when the colour left was a really good match to So Saffron.
I mounted this onto Basic Black and then onto So Saffron card and then onto Basic Black base card.

I used the Decorative Label punch for the embellishments on the sides. I punched 2 and folded them in half, stuck the lower half to the top of the base card, slipped the mats with the bleached design in and then folded the top half of the decorative label down and glued it in place, added a couple of rhinestones and text from Clearly For You stamp set to finish.
I have seen the Bauble punch used for so many different things and I just loved this idea of using it as a vase.

Stamp sets: Hopeful Thoughts and Sincere Salutations
Card Stock: Rose Red, Very Vanilla and River Rock
Inks: Old Olive, Basic Black and Rose Red
Punch: Bauble Punch
Extras: Rose Red Seam Binding

I used the SU Crimper, it has to be the best I have had about 3 different ones in the past and I find the Stampin'Up! one works heaps better than all the rest.

I made the Advent calendar below with my Grandaughter Sofia in mind, sadly she won't be here until about the 20th of December. I think by then Peter my lovely other half will have consumed
the chocolates from numbers 1 - 19.

I got the idea for this at a training day in July, I just played around reduced the sizes and ended up with this.

I covered a 12" x 12" piece of card with a sheet of Cherry Cobbler 12" x 12" card stock. Measured out 25 squares. I cut 8 12" x 1/4" strips of Old Olive and stuck them in place to define the squares. I then made 24 3" x 3" treat pouches numbered them 1 - 24. I stuck 1 in each square, popped a chocolate Father Christma in each. The centre square unmber 25 I used the Fancy Flower, Scallop Circle and 1 3/8 circle punches, 'Joy at Christmas comes from Perfect Punches stamp set. I really wanted to put a special little treat behind this one but all I could find that would fit was and Elizabeth Shaw mint crisp.

I keep all my scrap pieces of card in plastic wallets, 1 for each colour family. They have all got so full I decided to use some up my making some tags.

I used the Sizzlits Lots of Tags Die, and the Extra Large Oval punch for the tags.
The Square Lattice Embossing Folder for the mat on the top of the box.

Stamp sets: Sparkly and Birght, Welcome Christmas, Delightful Decorations and Season of Joy.
Card Stock: Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White.

Today is my lovely Dad's birthday 'Happy Birthday' Dad. This is the card I made for him, hope he likes it.

For the basket I used a stamp from Playful Pieces, which is a level 3 hostess set. The baloons are made using the scallop oval punch and of course the passenger is made using the Owl punch.

Card colours are: Marina Mist, Whisper White, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.

I ran the scallop ovals through the Big Shot using the Square Latice Embossing Folder.

Felt like doing some brayering last week and once I started I just couldn't stop, I did about 8 cards altogether, but used some for friends birthdays.

I brayered onto Whisper White card, using a mask for the Sun/moon
The stamp set is Just Believe I do love this set.
This one I used 2 of the new in colours Pool Party (the lighter colour) and Island Indigo (the darker colour, I think they look quite good together.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I have had my family staying for the summer and added to some health problems I didn't have a lot of time or energy to create let alone blog.

I really want to thank my aunt 'Crafty Squirrel' for changing the face of my blog, doesn't it look great she also gave me this amazing display stand and once I started making little things to hang on it I couldn't stop, some I have cased and some I have created myself (the angel and the snowman) they will make great treats for the Christmas tree (Roll on Christmas)
We made the pillow box Father Christmas at Monica and Bekka's Peterborough training day in July isn't he great. I just love Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisps and used them as the treats.

I also wanted to share this card with you. It is called a Secret Message Card and I first saw it some time ago and then more recently on the amazing Dawn's blog ( an American SU demonstrator). I think it is so neat.

This is my version I have used Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock.
Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black Inks.
The flower is made using the Bigz L Die Fun Flowers

Open it up and your messages are inside then........

Here is the secret part... fold the outside panels backwards, bringing the centre fold forward and you can then split the centre fold into two revealing your secret message. Don't you think its brilliant.

Here is a picture of my lovely friends, from the left......Dee, Wendy,Trish and Kay. We got together on Monday for a great day crafting, this is us lunching in my garden at half time. What a feast we had.

Wonderful Wedding

Yesterday and Saturday we attended the most wonderful wedding. The actual wedding and reception were held at Horsley Towers, the most beautiful English Chateau and yesterday was held at the home of the father and mother of the groom. We had the most wonderful time and the weather was perfect.

Anyway this is the card I made for the happy couple it is my slant on a card from a tutorial by Jenny. It is a take on the traditional waterfuall card and great fun to make, you pull on the little tab on the right hand side and the pages flip up.

June Workshop

Hi, on this really, really, really hot day, what a glorious weekend it has been.

Below are the 4 projects we did at last Monday's workshop. The first is a little mini book, I can't remember where I found the instructions for it, but thank you to the person who did create it.. It is amazingly easy to make and you can decorate it however you like I have done one as a thank you card another as a Birthday card and yet another as a mini album.....so the skies the limit.

I decorated this one using the Two Step Bird punch and Nature Walk stamp set which is from the mini catalogue

This is the little book open.
I used Pear Pizaz and Always Artichoke card stock
Pear Pizaz deisgner paper.

For this card we brayered the background using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight inks.
Card Stock: Glossy White Card, Daffodil Delight and Basic Black
Stamp Set: Just Believe
I also used the Scallop Trim Border punch and then finished the card of with a piece of Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon.

Finally, some time ago I saw a card similar to this on someone's blog and really liked it but once again I can't remember where I saw it. Anyway I tried to recall to my very bad memory how it had been done but the only thing I could remember was that the oval scallop punch had been used to create the Hot Air Baloon. Anyway this is my version.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Marina Mist, Real Red, Pear Pizaz and Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.
Inks: Real Red and Old Olive

To make the basket I cut a piece of whisper white card to the size and shape that I wanted and stamped it with a stamp from Playful Pieces stamp set (A level 3 Hostess set).

I hope you like the cards, they seemed to go down really well at the workshop.

Baby Blossoms Stationery Box

I have had the tutorial for the stationery box below for some time now and been desperate to have a go it was created by Val Moody...... Val you are so cleaver I just love it.
I have made a variety of different size cards, notelets and tags to go inside and decorated the box with butterflies cut from Beautiful Wings Big shot die. I have done one side using Bashful Blue and Night of Navy and the other side with Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.

The box is made from Very Vanilla card as is some of the cards but I have also used
a whole variety of other colours of card and Inks for the cards and notelets etc.
Stamp Sets: Baby Blossoms and Sincere Salutations
I have also used Springtime Vintage designer papers
and made envelopes for the little notelets using the Scallop Envelope die
The little silver frames are from the Hodge Podge Kit.

Centre Pillar Card

My very first order from this years mini catalogue, way back in April, included the Build a Blossom stamp set and Blossom Petals Punch. Unfortunately I haven't had time to sit and play and experiment with it. As this past week has been half term I decided to have a go. This is one of the cards I have finished.

I used Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock
Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler Inks
and of course Build a Blossom stamp set. The text comes from the Curly Cute
I also used Pear Pizzazz designer paper from the In Colour Stack.

I love this centre pillar card and as my latest order from Stampin'Up! included the Nature Walk stamp set (I have wanted it for ages but it always seemed to get pushed to the bottom of my wish list) So I put the put the stamp set with the centre pillar card and came up with this.

As Fathers day is looming, I thought I would settle down on Friday evening and make my lovely dad a card, this is what I came up with. Then on saturday afternoon a friend came to visit with her son Joshua (who is a friend of my son Matin's).
It was wonderful to see them, they moved away from the area several years ago and I hadn't seen them for about 6 years only Christmas cards flew between us. After a good catch up over cups of tea, Joshua asked if the Fathers Day Card was for sale and of course I said Yes and was only too happy for him to have it.
But of course I have had to make another one for my Dad.

Well here we are again on yet another school holiday, I'm not complaining though, I seem to live for them. I have had some fun making these little Lip Balm Holders the design for the holder itself came from the amazingly clever 'Qbee' .

I have used Popy Parade and Perfect Plum for these 2 with the designer paper to match.
I made the flower using the Fancy Fower punch I snipped away happily all around the petals,
I then shaped them curling the petals under. The centre is a rectangle of card snipped along 1 long edge and then curled the strip and glued the 2 short edges together.
I used the stamp set Growing Green to stamp the inside.

I love projects like this they make great little quickie gifts.

Well what a marathon week it has been, so many things going on, so many cards to make for so many birthdays and finally ending with Peters birthday yesterday. Each year I have to try and think of something different to make for his birthday and this year I almost gave up and went and bought a card but instead decided to knuckle down and think. This is what I came up with, it was a bit of a marathon in itself. Some of it is a bit soppy, but that's me soppy all over. Romance Rules.....................
I worked on the idea from a tutorial I purchased over a year ago from Jenny.
I have used Pacific Point, Rich Razleberry, Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock
Numerous colours of Write Markers, Water colour Wonder Crayons and Inks
And I think I worked it out that I used stamps from 35 different Stampin'up! Stamp sets.

Just got back from doing some shopping, goodness it's hot out there and so so busy, my feet are aching, so I thought I would sit down and share some of the cards I have made over the last few days.

I really love the patchwork look I have seen this one on ILWS and thought I would have a go:

I have used Springtime Vintage designer papers from the mini catalogue, I punched 12 squares with the small square punch stuck them together onto whisper white card and then used my Big Shot to cut the shape,
The main card is Baja Breeze and the text is from So Happy For You a sale-a-bration set.

The same theme but I have used Night and Day designer papers from I think last years mini.

Sorry I will have to finish this post a little later as we have to go out for a few hours... I will be back... Hi I am home again...................

Here we go again with yet another patchwork card, this time the designer papers are from Lap of Luxury (current catalogue) I have run the patchwork shape through the Big Shot with the embossing folder Square Latice. It gives it an amazing effect almost like fabric and then layered it onto perfect plum card stock

Peter and I had been invited to a joint 50th Birthday party. Two friends Tommy and Gerry decided to have a Tom and Gerry party to celebrate their turning 50.

Gerry liked Bikes so I used the Motorcycle Stamp from the mini and made it look like it was moving (the idea came from a swap I received at the Peterborough Training Day)
Tommy likes planes so I used Plane and Simple also from the mini. They were both great fun to do. I hope you like them. I suppose more to the point I hope they liked them.
Last night I had finished what I was working on (the favours for Kate's wedding) but the film I was watching had not finished so I fiddled around and ended up with the card below.
I have used the embossing folder Elegant Bouquet on the main card which is whisper white.

I then sponged the image with elegant eggplant and pear pizaz.

I ran a piece of elegant eggplant cardstock through the big shot using the square lattice embossing folder and punched out 2 butterflies.

The backing for the text was die cut using Lots of Tags from the mini catalogue. The text is from Sincere Salutations from the main catalogue and then punched out using the extra large oval punch. I then just finished of with some Basic Pearls.

After that wonderful wedding yesterday, and boy It really was beautiful I thought I would show you some weddingie bits I am making for my friends daughter also Kate, who is getting married 0n the 21st May. Kate asked me if I would make 75 Invitations 100 favours and do the order of service. The favours and Order of Service are not yet finished and I think it is best I wait untill after the wedding before I post them. But I thought you may like to see the invites and something I have made for Kate.
Kate loved the Two Step bird punch so that became the theme
Very Vanilla and Certain Celery Card Stock has been used

So far only the invitations have been finished as they of course had to be sent and then last night I made the little bag below for her also using the same theme.

These are the invitations, they were great fun to do although I found the repetitiveness hard going sometimes. Kate's auntie Wendy came down for a day and helped me and Kate and her mum Jill, came down for a couple of hours in the afternoon too.

Well here I am again and so excited at the launch of SU's new mini cataglogue, you can view it on the right hand side, just click on the front cover and prepare to be amazed. Below are a few cards I have made using some of the new products.

This card was made with Baby Blossoms a two step stamp set, there are 18 beautiful little stamps in this set and you can create the most amazing images from single flowers to huge bouquets. The tex comes from Occasional Greetings.

I made two one for Peters mum and one for my mum.

Card: Rose Red and Whisper White and Pink Pirouette
Inks: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Always Artichoke and Basic Black

Again from the Mini Catalogue this card was made using the stamp set Strength and Hope, for every one of these stamp sets sold Stampin'up! will donate £1.00 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I really love this set, the butterfly is beautiful;

I stamped the butterflies with Peach Parfait ink and then went round the edges with my Pear Pizaz Wright Marker.
The Stamp on this card 'Sail Away' is a single stamp, also from the mini, its great as there are several stamps which are great for mens cards this year.

I used the scallop border punch along the edges and some navy 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to try and make it look a bit wavy, did I succeed? mmm not quite sure.

Once again again again this card is also made using a new stamp set from the Mini Catalogue it is called 'Clearly for You' there are 12 stamps in the set and every one is beautiful.

For my birthday Kay gave me amost beautiful card which took me back in time, to my first Christmas as an SU demonstrator. I had made a card called a Secret Slider. I went on a hunting spree and found it, for some reason I had abadonned it not quite finished. I set too and finised it and went onto make this one below for my counsins 40th Birthday.

I made a card similar to the one below for my mum for Mothers Day last year, from a tutorial I had. Unfortunately I can't find the tutorial anywhere but wanted to make the card for my friends birthday. So I set too and after a lot of trials and errors and a lot of bits of card hitting the paper bin I succeeded in making the card below.

I have used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Pear Pizaz card stock.
The little butterfly if fixed using acetate.

I hope she likes it.

I had loads of fun today making this super cup cake box, it is big enough to hold a very large muffin. Thank you Andrea for sharing this.
I used crumb cake for the cake itself, Cherry Cobbler for the Cherry on top and little bits of cherry on the cake and Chocolate Chip for the cake case.
The top of the case is scalloped and then run through the crimper.

The only stamping is the greeting which is from Afterthoughts stamp set, a level 1 Hostess set which I punched out with the scallop oval punch and then layered it onto 2 extra large ovals.

I made this double twisted easle card one evening last week, using my stamp-a-majig to line everything up. It is quite easy to do just time consuming.

I am really back in the swing of things (I just hope I stay there) and keep posting regularly I really am trying "very" said Peter.

I am not quite sure who actually first created this card but I think they are so clever. It's a triple slider card and great fun if not a bit fiddly to do. You pull the tab at the top to reveal a 3 tiered card.

The Ribbon is SU white organza
The Speciality designer paper is by SU and called Night and Day unfortunately it is retired.

We stopped for lunch, what a feast we had.

I set all my lovely ladies ... above... a challenge in January, to make a card in any shape and formation the liked. I gave them all an A4 piece of More Mustard card, a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper some ribbon, rub ons and a clear button, they could add 1 other piece of card of their choosing plus a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla Card.

The day of judgement arrived and as Peter my better half was working, (he was going to be the judge). Holly and Suzy who had not participated became the judges. The cards which had secretly been put in a box on arrival were put on display. My goodness all 4 cards were absolutely beautiful and all so different. What a difficult it was for poor Suzy and Holly but they came up with a united in their choice

The 4 cards below are what we made in the class. The 1st, 2nd and last were inspired by my Aunt, Ann (crafty squirrel) at her class 3 weeks ago. I was staying with he,r as we were going to a training day on the Sunday in Peterborough (if you are looking Monica and Bekka.. thank you so much for a wonderful day) and thank you Ann and Reg for a wonderful weekend.

The 3rd card was inspired by our training day in Peterborough. I changed the stamp set and card colours used. but the effect was the same.

Below are the 4 items we made at craft club in January, wow what fun we had.

This little house was the inspiration of my Aunt (crafty squirrel).
I used Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride card stock
Stamped the flower from Silhouette Sentiments (Level 1 Hostess Gift) onto vellum using Rose Red and Old Olive inks
I bought all my lovely ladies a battery t-light to go inside, the light twinkles through the velum...beautiful.

The card goes with the little bag below: I used Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry (I love this colour) card stock. Stamps sets Crazy for Cupcakes and Party this way both in the current catalogue. I coloured in the images with Water colour wonder crayons. The fancy corners and edging were punched using the Scallop trim corner and border punches.
The little bag below houses a couple of individualy wrapped biscuits, great for taking when going to a friends for coffee.
This card came from an Idea from one of the swaps I recieved at the Convention last year. Oh! there were some truly wonderful creations there. I used Bashful blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock and because I love it so.. Silhouette Sentiments stamp set also Perfect Punches and Solid Stips stamps.

Anyway again a big big sorry that I have not posted for so long...................

A few weeks ago I purchased a tutorial from a very clever lady, Lynn Pratt and yesterday I settled down to have a go. This isn't a total case, as Lyn had tulips as her flowers. I decided to make it christmasy with Poinsettias and I suspended a dove in the centre using Acetate.

Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, More Mustard and Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black

Punches: Five Petal Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch and 1/4" punch

I put some Dazzling Diamonds in the centre of each flower and covered the dove with it also.

What a fabulous weekend. I went to stay with Ann my Aunt in Cottingham (craftysquirrel.blogspot.com) and on Sunday we went on a Stampin'Up! training day in Peterborough.

I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, stamping all day with 29 other stampers, it was absolute bliss. On Saturday evening Ann and I set too and made 30 of the little cards below for swapping. I had never done it before and it felt a bit strange but after the first couple of swaps and seeing the wonderful ideas that everybody had I just loved it.

We made five cards a box and a 6 x 6 album. which I will post in a day or two. I can't thank Monica and Bekka enough for all the planning and cutting it must have taken to put the day together and a huge thank you to Ann for asking me to go with her.

The whole weekend totally inspired me. We made a little blue box and when I got home I made it again in black changing the decoration to match 4 cards which I made to go inside.

Now I have begun I can't stop at least you can see I have been busy over the last two weeks and not sitting idle (I should be so lucky) Below is a great box it is called a Sending Love Explosion Box and was designed by Lyn Pratt, its great because the box itself is made from a 12 x 12 sheet of card and needs no gluing. You also need a piece of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of card for the lid.

I used Always Artichoke and So Saffron Card Stock. The designer paper is from SU last years catalogue.

I had to demonstrate how to make one of these little bags to a class of students today, I was so nervous but ended up really enjoying it the students were brilliant and made some fantastic bags. The design for the three little bags at the back came from a tutorial from ILWS.

I adapted the pattern to make the brief case in the front of the picture.

I used Pear Pizaz, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip card stock, with matching inks. I think these are a perfect size and shape for small gifts.

Hi.. I can't believe it has been nearly two weeks since I last posted, time has just gone so quickly only 1 week till half term YES....... I am so excited to be going on this years Stampin'Up! convention which is being held in the UK, the last two weeks I have been so busy making over 50 swaps. After the convention I will post some of the swaps that I will hopefully recieve.

Below are the little gifts which I made for the girls at our last workshop, then when the day was over and the girls had gone, I realised I had forgotten to give them out.

I used Fast and Fabulous stamp set a level 2 hostess set and Tiny Tags. River Rock and Very Vanilla card stock and ribbon and Always Artichoke ink. The little tendril is made from a very fine strip of Always Artichoke card stock wound round a cocktail stick. The little mini bar of Green and Blacks came from Sainsbury's it was a box of 10 mini bars of different flavours. I made 6 little gifts altogether....can't quite remember what happened to the remaining 4 bars..... mmmmm
My friends husband loves beech houses and when I saw this stamp I just had to buy it for his card.

I have used Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock

I coloured the beach huts in using Write Markers.

I stamped one extra beach hut coloured it, cut it out and stuck it on using a dimensional, I just can't remember which beach hut is the raised one.
This card was for my Aunt who has recently moved house.

I used the Neighborhood Wheel for the houses. The birds on a branch are from a last years hostess sets called Queue Up

Hi fellow stampers, well it's been 3 days since the launch of the new catalogue and I have been unable to get near the computer till now. There have been some humungous changes and all for the good. Amazing new colours, amazing new stamp sets and amazing new accessories in fact I would go as far as to say the whole catalogue is quite amazing.

My Aunt .... craftysquirrel.blogspot.com is also amazing - I am not too brilliant at the intricacies of blogs, so today she has downloaded the new catalogue for me. You can view it on the right hand side Thank you so so much Ann. Do visit Crafty Squirrel as she has posted some amazing..(there's that word again)... cards using some of the new sets.

Below is the card I made for my Aunt's birthday which was in the middle of September.

I have used one of the New Hostess sets 'FAST AND FABULOUS' I couldn't post until after the launch of the new catalogue.

The card and ink colours are Pink Pirouette .........a beautiful pale pink and Concord Crush and lovely deep purple. I have also used Rose Red ink and Whisper White Card.

Believe it or not the day after her birthday my Aunt phoned me to thank me for the card, she said she presumed it was from me because I had used a stamp set from the new catalogue....... needless to say I hadn't written anything in the card derrrrrrrrrr.

For the little box of cards below I used one of my all time favourite stamps sets- Pocket Silhouettes - along with Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst and Whisper White card stock.

The inks are Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White.

13th September Workshop

The dreaded return to work happens tomorrow and I so do not want to go back BUT I do want to eat and pay the bill so I suppose I have no choice. More importantly I need to save lots of pennies for the new catalogue due on the 1st October yipee!!!

My lovely crafting friends wanted to do a little box of Christmas labels at our next workshop. I created this little box with 4 each of the wreath and robin tags a while ago. As there is no stamping involved I have added 4 stamped tags

We are also going to make this card using Scandinavian Christmas.

I have used gold and silver embossing powder for the tree and mounted the layers onto Elegant Eggplant card which I clear embossed with the flower from the same set.

Sorry I have not posted for a while, I have my Son Karim, Daughter in Law Rimal and 7 month old Granddaughter Sofia over from Dubai, it is so wonderful having them here.

It was a unanimous decision that we do Christmas cards at our next workshop on the 23rd August, so I hope you like these girls. There is lots of glitter and some brayering and embossing too.

I have used one of the new colours Rich Razzleberry for this card with its matching ribbon. I stamped the tree from Wondrous Gift stamp set and embossed it in Gold. The tree and gift are from Darling Dots one of the hostess gifts, once finished I added a touch of glitter (I do love glitter)

Card Stock used for this card is Bordering Blue and Whisper White. The background behind the tree is brayered using Bordering Blue Ink. The tree has been punched out with the scallop circle punch in Old Olive card stock.

I have used the Signo Pen to make the snow flakes and of course added lots of glitter

Bashful Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock for this card,.

This time I have brayered with Bashful Blue ink. Then stamped Dasher in the centre. The sentiment comes from the Tiny Tags stamp set
Finally I have used Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock and Serene Snowflakes stamp set for this card. Around the main navy snowflake ( which I have added glitter) I have stamped smaller snow flakes using the Platinum Shimmer Paint and once again lots of glitter. If you add glitter quite quickly when you stamp with shimmer paint, little bits of glitter will stick to the image, it looks really pretty. Unfortunately it doesn't show up in the photo.

The Big Big Bag That Folds Flat

I so love making 3D projects but where to store them, once created is a big problem, this got me thinking and thought I would try and make a big Bag that would fold flat, this is what I came up with. Its size is 7" wide x 8" high x 4" deep. I used 2 sheet of 12" x 12" Basic Black card for the bag itself, it was fine but not quite firm enough by adding 3 layers of mats to all four sides it has made it into quite a substantial bag (a mans-size t-shirt fits inside) The designer paper is night and day from the mini catalogue. I also added the little flowers which come from the Pretties Kit.

8 Little Christmas Gift Tags in a Box

Christmas........ My very favourite time of year, this little box looks big in the photo but actually it is only 2.5 inches square. I made the box and then didn't know quite what to do with it, as its size limits its use. Finally decided to make some gift tags.
Whilst visiting my Aunt (craftysquirrel) I saw a little christmas wreath on her cupboard door and loved it. I made 4 tags with the little wreath on them and 4 cards using the Large One Step Bird Punch. Thanks for looking xxx

I really love making little party favours, the template for these came from AR Creations. I made one each for my lovely friends who came to mondays workshop, we had such a great day. I filled the boxes with jelly beans. I also thought these would look really good done in Christmasy Colours for hanging on the Christmas Tree. Speaking of Christmas.....................

Oops!! I suddenly realised that I hadn't made a card for my friend Lisa's Wedding as there is only a few days to go I had to come up with something quickly.
I have taken this from a tutorial Jenny made a while ago, she had done them for Valentines Day,
I have adapted it to make it more weddingy... (is that a word)
There are four pockets inside and I made little inserts to go in each pocket.
The card stock is: Craft, Whisper White Pretty in Pink and Blush Blossom.

What a busy week, It has been manic at work and Peter has been quite poorly after his Knee replacement operation and to top it all my computer and internet access has been on the blink, anyway I think it is temporarily sorted although I think we perhaps need a new computer.

Last Christmas I made some crackers for friends at work and put little tubes of hand cream inside. Lovely Lisa a dance teacher saw them and asked if I would be able to make 50 of them as favours for her wedding and also two cards one for Father of the Bride and the other for Mother of the Bride below is the end result.
Lisa's colour scheme and theme is Pinky, silvery and glittery and Butterflies.
I used SU stamp sets Flight of the Butterfly, Vintage Vogue and Tiny Tags to stamp the crackers with Pretty in Pink ink and then glittered the butterflies and flowers with Dazzling Diamonds glitter
Lisa wanted the cards to stay on a similar theme as the crackers but with black and pink for her dad and white and pink for her mum.
I decided to make Shadow cards as they are just a little bit different from the norm.
The same stamp sets and inks have been used with the addition of Frames with a Flourish which I stamped around the computer generated text.
I used SU Specialty Papers Bride and Groom for the card itself these papers are really quite thick and work really well,.
I made a couple of boxes for them tied them with ribbon and there we have it, hope she likes them. Thanks for looking..

Letter Rack of cards

I saw this little letter rack and just loved it and had to have a go. The template comes from 'My timeless Templates' by Lauren Meader. Once I had made the letter rack I then had to think about what to use it for and decided to fill it with eight cards, Four 5 x 5 in the back section using Sage Shadow and Whisper White card (to match the letter rack itself) and four 4 x 5 in the front section using Handsom Hunter, Sage Shadow and Whisper White card stock.
Inks: Basic Black, Handsome Hunter and Sage Shadow.
The stamp set is Studio Sketches a level 1 hostess gift from the mini catalogue. It was really fun to do and not at all complicated. If you have a go I would love to see what you come up with.

I made these four card 4 x 5" and once I had finished them I realised I didn't have any envelopes of that size.. I hunted and hunted the internet for some but the nearest to it were either to big or to small so I ended up having to make them.

Whenever I recieve something in an unusual box I am never happy until I have recreated it or at least something similar. The box itself is a six pointed star. I have used to of the new colour card stock Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.

Now I have started I can't stop, I must be making up for lost time whilst I was away and then ill...
A friend was leafing through my SU catalogue and fell in love with the Forest Friends stamp set.
She doesn't craft herself and asked if I would make 4 little note card using the Forest Friend set. This is what I came up with.
4 little easle cards using the SU 3 x 3 Love notes and a little bag to put them in.
Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Bordering Blue and Bashful Blue
I brayerd the back grounds, with Punpkin Pie and Bordering Blue and then stamped away.
I used Chocolate Chip, Old Olive to stamp the tree and animals.

3 NEW COLOURS OF CARD, INKS, RIBBON AND DESIGNER PAPER

I bought the 3 different colours of shimmer paint from the SU mini catalogue at least 6 weeks ago but have never had the chance to use them, so I thought I would have a go. I have made these using the 3 new colours of Card and Inks: Soft Suede, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.

I Brayerd the backgrounds of 3 pieces of shiny card with the 3 colours, stamped each one with the little flower from Greenhouse Garden using the shimmer paints. I then stamped the inside of the flower with the same colour as the brayerd colour. I then layerd this onto white card then again onto the coloured card then again onto a larger piece of white card,

I scalloped the bottom of the large piece of white card using the eyelet border punch,

Stamped the bottom with greetings from Sincere Salutations and finished off with a little bow made out of card.

Then I decided to make this one using Night of Navy, Bordering Blue and Whisper White card

For my birthday a friend gave me a bag made of card and inside were 2 note books it gave me the idea to create the little bag below. I have used Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Grey and Pink Passion card stock and inks and Day and Night Specialty Paper. I had to adapt the size and shape as I wanted it to hold 6 Cards and envelopes inside.
Stamp sets used are: Vintage Vogue, Very Vogue, Bird on a Branch, Loads of Love, Frames with a Flourish. I would love to know what you think.
I decorated the envelopes to match the cards.

Thank goodness it's the weekend, hip hip hooray... it seems to have been a very long week. Last saturday we went to the wedding of a very very close friend and had the most wonderful day this is a picture of the bride and groom, they look so happy and I am sure they always will be as they are such a lovely couple. Dawn looked absolutely stunning her dress was beautiful. Everything from the Church (in Hampton where I went to sunday school as a child) to the reception venue (Sheperton Studios) to the food (a Hog Roast) was truly wonderful. Thank you John and Dawn.

After a lot of deliberation this is the card that I made for them.
I used Sage Shadow and Whisper White card stock for the card base.
the back ground shape is cut out of Bride Specialty Paper available from the main SU catalogue using the Top Note Die which sadly isn't available in England.
The Birds are punched using the Extra Large Two Step Punch and the heart from the small heart punch.

Sorry I 've been absent for so long. The first week in June went to Dubai again, to visit our beautiful granddaughter but unfortunately we went down with a nasty virus while there which completely flawed me for 2 weeks. Anyway I am feeling more human now and had to get my act together to plan our next workshop. This is what I came up with hope you like them.

This is a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 card with an exploding centre.
I have used 1 (Heart) Hearts, Tiny Tags and both from the SU mini catalogue and the text stamp from Rustic Rooster which is a level 2 Hostess set.
Card Stock: Barely Bananna, Very Vanilla and Apricot Appeal.
Ink: Basic Black, Apricot Appeal.

This is the inside I have used the So Saffron Patterns Designer Series Paper for the exploding insert.

Same size card here but I have used Bird on a Branch stamp set also from the mini catalogue.

Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.

Basic Black and Pink Passion Inks.

I have glittered the middle of each flower but it doesn't show up on the photograph

For the exploding insert I have used the Night and Day Specialty Paper.

The next 2 cards I have cased from Jenny I think they are brilliant ideas for using the Sweet Treat Cups once again available from the Mini Catalogue.

I have put some mint imperials in the Treat Cup.

This is just such a great idea I had to case it. It is a puzzle card, it has 3 little silver balls inside which you have to try and settle over the three little punched holes. Great eh!!

This little Cabinet/Dresser is from a tutorial by Becky.. thank you so much Becky.
Becky made hers in Pink which was lovely. I chose Mellow Moss and Barely Bannana card, I think it is so sweet I love anything miniture.
I made 4 cards, 4 note cards and 4 tags using SU A Touch of Nature stamp set
I stamped the images in various colours.. Mellow Moss, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black and Sunflower Yellow ink pads and used Write Markers and Watercolour Wonder Crayons to colour the images.

I added a couple of extra partitions inside to separate the note cards, tags and a pencil or pen or even both.

This photo vanished when I published the post. It should be below the the black and white card, where the recipe etc is sorry!!!!!! obviously I'm still not very good at this.

SU have brought out some lovely black and white designer paper in their mini catalogue its called Night and Day, I have used it on this Card and Gift Bag. The flower is also cut out from the designer paper, the petals curled and then layerd to give a 3d effect. I have used some Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon to finish the gift bag off.

I love all things that match so I really love it when a card and bag or box match. This little gift bag is the perfect size for a small gift.

I have used a retired SU stamp set 'Never Ending Joy' for this project

Regal Rose, Blush Blossom and Very Vanilla card stock.

Regal Rose and Mellow Moss inks.

I used the eyelet border punch to finish of both the card and box and ran a strip of vellum down the edge of the card. The little curly wurly bits are long very thin strips of card threaded through a button and then each end is wound tightly around a cocktail stick. Give them a go they are great fun to do. My friend says I am quite sad, thinking winding bits of card around cocktail sticks is great fun, hey ho, each to his own... If it has to do with card paper and crafting I love it.

A Sense of Time

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of weeks. I haven't had a very good sense of time lately it has been running away with me I seem to have more things to do, than there are hours in the day to do them in. It was Peters birthday on the 10th May and I nearly commited the worst crime of buying a card for him as I just couldn't decide what to make, finally I came up with this.
I have used SU Sense of Time stamp set
Bashful Blue and Night of Navy stamp sets and card stock.
The inside below.. I made one of those exploding inserts (not sure if thats what they are called) and I filled it with lots of hearts ahhhhhh.. punched out using the SU Heart to Heart punch. He liked it and that was the main thing.

The other day I found myself not quite knowing what I wanted to do. I knew what I should be doing, preparing for my next workshop or making the cards for two weddings we are going to in May. This is what I ended up making, a little wallet with some little note cards and envelopes on one side and a note pad on the other sided there is also some space for a pen or pencil.
I have used Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock.
Vintage Vogue stamp set and the inks are Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Mellow Moss.

Diorama Box Card

I sat down one day last week to make something but I wasn't quite sure what. I leafed through one of my folders and found this. I am not quite sure where it came from but thought I would give it a try. It's called a Diorama Box Card there is about 2 inches between the front and back card with a piece of card running through the middle. It is very 3D but the amazing thing is it folds flat for posting, a very appealing aspect I think with postage prices the way they are.
I used Pink Passion, Whisper White, Basic Black and Mellow Moss Card Stock

This last week has been utter bliss, as I have mentioned before I work in a school and at the moment it is the Easter holidays. Because of where Easter fell this year we have had 2 weeks 2 days, and Easter fell on the first weekend, those 2 extra days have made such a huge difference and I have spent nearly the whole of this past week crafting, crafting crafting...Pure Bliss.. Anyway here is what I have been up to..............

The idea for this bag and shadow/diorama card came from Jenny, but I have used Fox and Friends stamp set (from the new mini catalogue) Forest Friends and Pocket Silhouettes I have really gone crazy about Pocket Silhouettes lately but I find it so versatile.
Card stock: Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst and Very Vanilla
Ink Pads: Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip Old Olive, Rose Red and Basic Black.
The two little Butterflies are from Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set

I needed to make some cards quite quickly for my Church and decided to make several different styles and colours: These 2 are Bareley Bannana and Summer Sun card and inks. The flower is from SU Greenhouse Garden.

These 2 are shadow or diorama cards. I have used Ruby Red and Very Vanilla card stock. Ruby Red and Mellow Moss Inks.

These two are book mark cards made using Lavender Lace, Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant card stock and Inks. The stamp set is from the new Mini Catalogue ..and is called Vintage Vogue.

I have finished off with some Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon.

I borrowed this stamp from a lovely friend of mine, I just love it I have used Brocade Blue card and inks, finishing of with some Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon

I have always loved the Footprints Verse and in fact have the whole verse on a door in my home so when I saw this stamp I just had to buy it. I have used Sage Shadow Bravo Burgandy and So Saffron card stock, with matching ribbon to finish off.

I just love the new bird punch from SU it is new and available from the mini catalogue. I have seen it used in amazing ways. I have used it here in quite a simple way as I wanted the words to be in the forefront. The stamp set is Pocket Silhouettes.

This little scrap book came from a tutorial by Jenny Moors. I love it as it has so many different layers and flaps. Jenny had made hers as a Christmas Album but I have made this for Sofia my granddaughter she is now 3 months old and I miss her dreadfully as my son lives in Dubai. I have yet to put photos inside, I am having a problem deciding which ones to put where... decisions decisions. Anyway God Willing we will be going out for a visit at the end of May for 7 days ( I can't wait) I want to take it out with me when we go, so I need to make my mind up sometime soon. If you check out my Aunts Blog 'Crafty Squirrel' she has made one and filled it with photos.
I have used Barely Bannana, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock and Tea Party and So Saffron designer papers. The little Giraffe is from Fox and Friends stamp set and the star and moon are fromNursery Necessities.

Pocket Silhouettes

Not sure where I found the idea for this little bag of cards but I really liked it. I have used Pink Passion and Whisper White card stock, and Pink Passion and Mellow Moss Inks. and finished the bag of with some White Satin Ribbon to keep the bag closed.

This card happened by accident I was stamping randomly on some scrap paper with this stamp from Pocket Silhouettes. I have used round scallop nessties to cut out the image .and the centre flower is a small scallop nesstie. Once again I have used Pink Passion card stock and Ink. This was really good fun to do.... I am going to try it out with some other stamps now.

I just love the SU stamp sets 'Pocket Silhouettes' and Oval All. I had loads of odd bits of card lying around, I wanted to make a simple set of cards/notelets and this is what I came up with. From the scraps I was able to make 6 31/2" x 31/2" cards and a box to fit them all in. I punched the text out using the Scallop Oval and the Plain Oval punches.

Little Boxes for little Gifts

Sat down the other day and just fancied making some little boxes, this is what I did:
A little Easter Basket: Taken with Teal and Whisper White, I filled it with very very thin strips of the same colour card and thought it would fun to put some little mini easter eggs in.
Just love this little box the shape was inspired by Jenny Moors, I have used Barely Bannana and Gable Green Card Stock. I made the flower by stamping the new Flower Accent stamp with Barely Bannana ink and then stamping in each petal with the little flower swirl from Tiny Tags in Summer Sun ink, I used the small flower from Vintage Vogue for the centre flower, stamped in Summer Sun ink. I stamped the leaves using Autumn Splendor stamp set and Gable Green ink and then cut them out.

For this little box I have used Certain Celery and Old Olive Card Stock.

The Big flower was made using the new Flower Accent Stamp and the new Silver Shimmer paint. I used the Boho Blossoms Punch for the little flowers. I think it is a really sweet little box and very sturdy once all the mats are stuck on.

I just want to say thank you to anyone who has a peek at my blog. I hope you may find it helpful in giving you ideas. So many of my ideas come from having a peek at other peoples blogs. There are so many very very very talented people out there... also don't forget to check out my Aunts blog, craftysquirrel.blogspot.com. she has just made a watering can and loads of flowers to go inside it its truly amazing.

After quite a lot of contemplating I finally decided on these 4 items for our next workshop of 12th April.
I have used stamp sets from the new mini catalogue: Vintage Vogue, Tiny Tags, Autumn Splendor and Flower Accent.
There are also 3 new style punches in the mini catalogue. One is the wonderful bird on the last card.. it cuts the bird the wing and the branch all in one go.. it's just great. The other is a medium jewelry tag punch, used on the second card with friend stamped inside it. The third and final new punch is a small heart, which I havn't used here.
Card stock used: Certain Celery, Old Olive and Very Vanilla for the first 2 cards and Barely Bannana, Summer Sun, Gable Green and Whisper White for the third and fourth cards.

The idea for this style of card came from Jenny Moors she is so so clever. Again I have used Perfect Plum and Pale Plum but with Whisper White this time. The stamp set is blooming with beauty.
I came up with this flower which I made from the tall heart on the heart to heart punch when I was playing.... I punched out several hearts with the idea that I would put them along the bottom of the card.. but I ended up with this.
I have used Pale Plum and Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla and Old Olive card stock.
The designer series paper is perfect plum.

I am sorry I have been absent for so long. I have been to Dubai to stay with my son, daughter in law and at last to see my granddaughter Sofia and being a typical new grandmother had to show her off... isn't she beautiful... We came back with 478 photos on the camera and at the moment I can't even delete the ones that are blurred.

It was my friends mother's 90th birthday and we were invited to her surprise party. I decided to try something new this pop up card, not quite sure if I like the was I have put it together or not (the colours and flowers etc) but it was great fun to do. Sorry the photos are sort of yellow, I am not sure why.

The idea for these two cards also came from SCS.
There are some incredably clever people and I am grateful that they let us use their ideas when making our projects.
The Faux Wooden Frame card: Cameo Coral and Very Vanilla card stock.
The stamps are In My Garden a level 1 hostess gift and the Medallion stamp.
I have watercoloured the flower with Water Colour Wonder Crayons Real Red and Garden Green.

I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Whisper White card for this Crayon Resist card
Stamps set are Pocket Silhouettes and Happy Everything
I have stamped the images using perfect plum, gone over them with wax and then sponged the whole background with pale plum.

The idea for this amazing card came from SCS.
I have used Perfect Plum and Whisper White card for the card itself.
For the flowers I used Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom and Mellow Moss, they were punched using Boho Blossoms punch

I have just finished planning our next workshop, I am hoping we will make the following four projects. The first one below was designed by Jenny Moors, You are so incredibly clever Jenny. It actually has four little pouches inside which hold four After Eight Mints - Yummy -
I have used Love You Much stamp set and Real Red, Whisper White and Black card stock.
I have embossed the red heart with white craft ink.

Inside

I have used Real Red, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White and Black card stock for this card and usd En Francais for the background.

The base colour card for this one is Rose Red with Chocolate Chip and Rose Red mats.

The car and hearts have been water coloured with Rose Red and Real Red.

The trees have een daubed with Mellow Moss and the sky and road I have sponged with Bashful Blue and Basic Grey.

Last but not least, if we have time after making the above in between cups of tea, coffee and bickies and lots of chat this card which used Sage Shadow, Braveo Burgandy and Very Vanilla card stock and the Medallion stamp.

My Cousin Lynda (StampINKins) an SU demonstrator in Australia designed this wonderful stationary book. It was great fun to do (and yes Lynda I did get sticky fingers). Lynda's original one had 8 cards but I have made each of my cards a bit too 3D and I could only fit 6 inside. The little tags along the inside bottom are for you to choose the sentiment according to the occasion.

I have to be honest the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set didn't appeal to me particularly in the beginning, but I saw a card that had been made using it and it totally inspired me, now I really love it. I have used Blush Blossom, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa card stock for the top card and So Saffronand Very Vanilla for the card below. I have coloured bothe images in with Copic Markers. I am still not very confident at colouring in, I have to keep reminding myself that I am not at school and therefore don't have to make everything solid colour and keep precisely inside the lines etc.

When I visited my aunt (Crafty Squirrel) just after christmas she showed me some wonderful cards she had made wrapping acetate around the outside of a card. I have been wanting to have a go ever since and due to the bad weather the school where I work has been closed so I have

Well I am now officially a grandmother my Daughter in Law Rimal has given birth to a beautiful little girl and they have called her Sofia... sadly it's going to be mid february before I can smother her in kisses and cuddles mummy and baby are doing really well and Karim (my son) is so so happy. This is the card that I made for Sofia's birth. Once again I have used the easle card with the little pull out drawer beneath. I thought that maybe they could use the drawer for little momentos.

I made these little treat pouches from a tutoria by Monica one of our SU demonstrators, I am having a little workshop on monday and thought these would make nice little gifts for the girls

HAPPY NEW YEAR I hope you all had a wonderful christmas. I am very excited my daughter in law Rimal who lives in Dubai with my son has gone into labour this morning so I am not letting my mobile out of my sight for even a minute. Those of you who do, please pray everything goes well for them I miss them very much especially as they were meant to be having the baby here originally.
I really love making 3D projects especially if they have a use. The project below (little drawer with an easle card attached) was inspired by a Tutorial by Jenny Moors. I have added 4 little 3 x 3 love notes which fit in the drawer. I think this would make a lovely gift for someone. I have several people in mind I just can't decide think I will have to make some more, so that I don't have to choose.

I thought I had finished doing Christmas projects, but decided I wanted to give some money to my Godson for Christmas but didn't want to put it in a gift card so I made this little box and fitted a pair of socks in as well. I used Bravo Burgandy and Mellow Moss card stock and Whisper White ink. The sentiment is from Seasonal Wishes stamp set. I love putting these two colours of card stock together. I bought some beautiful lemon and ginger bath crystals from Sandown Craft Show a few weeks ago, they came in an ordinary little plastic bag with a plain typed label. They were a gift and I wanted them to look a bit special so I made this little box using Night of Navy and Bashful Blue card stock and Snow Burst Stamp set I embossed the images with silver embossing powder. I added a big bow made of silver wired ribbon.

Altogether I have made about 20 of these crackers for various most were commissioned a couple at the last workshop I did but these 10 are for me. I have put a little tubes of Cath Kidston hand cream in some, little Lindt Chocolate Father Christmas' in others. I have even put cracker snaps in them so hopefully they will go bang when pulled. They are for my friends at work. I hope they like them.

As you can see I have used a variety of SU Christmas stamp sets
Inks used were Mellow Moss, Real Red and Basic Black
Card Stock colours, for the sentiment, was Real Red and Mellow Moss.
I just loved making these and could have gone on forever if only I didn't have to go to work and cook and clean and wash and............................

I also made these little bird house boxes for myself and I have made them so that one side of the lid opens up and I have put little gifts in them. Again I have used Real Red and Garden Green. the designer series paper is also from SU Merry Moments . The little birds have been stamped from using SU Love You stamp set. I water coloured them with SU Watercolour Wonder Crayons.

I wanted to do something different to put a CD in that I had bought for my friends son for Christmas. I found a tutorial for a DVD gift box and adapted it to hold a CD.
I have used Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip card stock, and some gold mirror card
The Designer series paper is from the SU Merry Moments selection.

I said earlier that my first grandchild is due in a week or tw0 but my niece has just had a little boy 3 days ago I love this little drawer so much I have made it as their congratulations card. The drawer can be used for all the little keepsake things I guess.
I have used Very Vanilla, Almost Amethyst and Elegant Eggplant card stock.
Stamp sets used are Gods Blessings, and Little One
I also used the Eyelet Boarder Punch and the Circle Scallop Punch.
I coloured in the bunny with the water colour wonder crayons using almost amethyst and elegant eggplant.

Thank you Sarah for your tutorial on these brilliant little drawers with an easle card on the top.
The two nativity ones which I have decoupaged are going to Australia and are apparantley going to have chocolates in. The middle one is a birthday for a birthday I am not sure what they will put in the drawer.

I have used SU card stock - Ruby Red, Garden Gree, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy.The stamp set is snow burst. The Designer Paper is SU Bella Bleu.

Sorry I have been absent for so long, life has been rather a challenge lately, my son lives in Dubai and my first grandchild is due in about 2 weeks. They were supposed to be coming to England to have the baby but everything changed 2 days before they were due to come. They are now staying in Dubai and wont be here for the birth or for Christmas, so big disapointment all round.

I have been really busy making up quite a lot of 3D items that friends had ordered so although I have been really busy I have been busy doing what I love. These are a few of the items below.

I made these bird boxes so that one side of the roof opens.

All the card stock and punched items and stamps are SU, but silly me ran out of SU designer papers so made do with what I had available.

Two for Christmas

The idea for this card came from my Aunt - Crafty Squirrel (she is so clever). I have used the star punch to punch out 5 stars, folded each in half and stuck them together. I love the 3D effect. The sentiment is from the Best Yet stamp set.

For this card I masked off a tree shape using post it notes and then stamped inside the masked off area using mellow moss and always artichoke inks and Snow Burst stamp set. The sentiment is from Circle of Friendship. I stamped and cut our the central snowflake, glittered it and stuck it onto the tree with a sticky pad.

I just love this stamp set and I think the wheel to match just sets it of nicely. I have brayered the background of each square with bashful blue ink and mounted the whole thing onto bashful blue card after matting the four squares onto night of navy card.

I am doing a little workshop tomorrow and thought I would do some little favours for the girls who are coming. I found this little party favour on the internet. I have made it using Merry Moments designer paper and red grosgrain ribbon . The flowers are made using the scallop circle the 5 petal and the boho blossoms punches. The three that I have fringed have a little chocolate inside, the unfringed one has a toffee for the non chocolate eater. (its not me).

This has been the first opportunity I have had to play with Queue Up stamp set. I have coloured the candles using copic markers. The card stock is Old Olive and Whisper White. The sentiments are from the Occasional Greetings set.
