Hello

I ran a class in Westbourne last week and we made one of the Peek a Bo cards that were so popular some time ago.  It was quite challenging but everyone did amazingly well and I thought I would share it with you.

We punched the circles out using the 1 3/8" punch and made the border with the 1 3/8 punch and the layering circles framelits.

The wisteria wonder panes was embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.

Above is the front of the card. I have used 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' stamp set with Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White card

As you open the card it reveals the greetings,
'Happy Birthday and Friend'

We stamped the images with Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Pear Pizzazz inks.

                                             Fully opened

Hope you like it, I will be back very soon.

And..... Three years later..

Unlike a bad penny that pop's up when you least want it to, I hope that I am a good penny,  popping up when you least expect it to but are happy that it has.

My life has changed quite dramatically over the past 3 years, my husband and I have moved our life from Walton on Thames, Surrey. to beautiful Bournemouth.  We will have been here for 2 years on the 4th November and the time has flown by.
I feel it is time that I began posting once again and to start I want to show you a CHRISTMAS CARD that I made yesterday.  I hope you like it:

I have used the Stampin'Up! stamp set 'At Home With You'  and the matching 'At Home Framelits' Dies.
I have had them for a while now and seemed to overlook them each time I made a Christmas card.
So..  I set too yesterday and I am so pleased I did as I am really pleased with the result.
I stamped the trees, garland and wreath in Old Olive in coloured the berries and baubles with Real Red

I die cut them all using the matching dies
I stamped the door in Stazon ink  and used my watercolour brush and Soft Sky ink to paint it

I used the inner door die to cut the door out and the little window die to cut the window that's in the door.

I finished off by adding my very favourite element  GLITTER....

Thanks for visiting
I promise I wont wait 3 years before posting again.

Whoosh and They Were Gone

Whoosh and they were gone, the weeks that is, since I lasted posted, sorry!!!!!

I have a friend that loves notelets and is always sending little messages to people.  I decided to make her a little box of notecards.

I have used four stamp sets:  Stippled Blossoms, Up Up and Away, The Open Sea and Field Flowers

Inks:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Old Olive and Basic Black
Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Pool Party and Whisper White.

Unfortunately when I did the measurements for the box I did it to the size of the cards, forgetting about envelopes, so I will have to give those separately, what a lulu.

Two for the men and Two for the women.
I used the Oval Framelits Dies for the card bases.

 Mmmmmm not sure!!!

Not sure if I like the colour combination on this card, Old Olive and Cajan Craze but I do so love the stamp set - Serene Silhouettes.

I just love design of this card, it's really unusual and very sophisticated but dead easy to do.  I gave the measurements in a previous post.  For this one I used Stippled Blossoms stamp set which is a two step, stamping set., one of my favourites at the moment. For the white strip down each side I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits die sooo pretty.

Card stock: Whisper White and Pink Pirouette
Inks:  Certain Celery, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Basic Black

Thanks so much for looking and if you are interested in any of the products I have used, please do drop me a message.

See you soon
God Bless

A few for January

Wow it's so good to see the sunshine, even if it is still a bit cold.     I have been quite busy over the past few weeks.  I am getting married on the 17th August and have been making the invitations all 60 of them, I have to be honest I am glad they are finished.
Below are some other bits I have done

I found the fold for this card whilst searching the internet.  Not sure who created it but it is so effective.  I have used the Stamping Up Builder Owl punch and the stamp set Bloomin Marvelous which is available for FREE when you spend £45 from the catalogue.

To make the card base you need a piece of card12"  x  6" which you score at 1",  2",  4",  8",  10"  and 11"   Fold inwards along the 4" and 8" score lines and then outwards on the 2" and 10" score lines and then inwards again on the 1" and 11" score lines.

This is the same fold just decorated differently.
The white edging was made using the Finishing Touches Edgelits die

The stamp used here was Pleasant Poppies and I just coloured them in using a blender pen with Real Red  and Old Olive inks, cut them out using Apothecary Accents Famelits die.   I added a touch of ribbon to finish of.

For this card I used the Sale-a-braiton stamp set Bloomin Marvellous (free when you spend £45 from the catalogues)
And for this one too.

For this one I used The Open Sea, this is a brilliant set, great for mens cards.  It has 5 stamps and is great value.  I love it.
Again here I used Pleasant Poppies
I used the stamp set Bright Blossoms for this card and made frames for the flowers using the new Glimmer card, the Curly Label punch and the new Mini Curly Label punch which is another sale-a- braiton item and so available for free when you spend £45

For this card I used one of the stamps from the Serene Silhouettes set, another of my favourites.

Finally for this easle card I used the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die and agaion the Apothercary Accents Framelits dies.
The flower comes from the stamp set Bright Blossoms and the butterfly was stamped using the set Papillon Potpourri which has 6 different butterflies.  I then punched our the butterfly with the new punch Elegant Butterfly.

I hope you enjoyed looking and should you want any details on the Stampin'Up! products I have used, please do email me.

Thank you
God Bless
Jackie.

January Workshop

On 21st January we had our first class of 2013 and what fun we had, although, because of the snow 3 of my lovely ladies were unable to come, we missed them loads but plodded on regardless.  Below are the projects we did.  Hope you like them.

I used the framelits dies to create this card as in my previous post. The stamp set is Summer Silhouettes with Beautiful Birthday for the text.  the card is Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White with matching colours in the inks.

This Triple Layer Stamping method is really popular and you can find loads of examples floating around the internet.  I love it, it is quite quick and easy and fun to do.

I used Field Flowers stamp set, stamped with Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy Inks onto Whisper White and Not Quite Navy card stock. then finished of with a bit of bakers twine.
These next two cards use the faux torn method again great fun to do.   Half the ladies did the brown version using Creative Elements stamp set.
Bravo Burgundy , Crumb Cake and More Mustard inks and Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Very Vanilla card.

This one used French Foilage stamp set, Certain Celery, Old Olive and Sahara Sand Inks
The card is Whisper White, Certain Celery and
Old Olive.

This card uses the new Peekaboo Frames, what a brilliant die this is with 5 different windows.

The text and the cake stamps come from a super set called Bring on the Cake it has 13 different texts relating to birthdays. It is on page 142 of the current catalogue if you want to check it out.

Anyway this is the window open

This is the window closed.

The little flowers were punch out using the one of the Itty Bitty Punches.

This is the little gift I made for the girls to thank them for coming and giving me such a wonderful day (as it always is).

Thank you so much for visiting and please do let me know if there is anything more you need to know about any of the products I have used.

Love and hugs

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, Christmas has gone, we are not quite 1  month into the new year and already I have broken my resolution to post weekly.

At the beginning of January it was my cousin's baby's 1st birthday this is the card I made for her.
The idea came from a card my Aunt 'Crafty Squirrel' made for my granddaughters 1st birthday I loved it and thought I would have a go.

I used Stampin'Up! framelits dies to cut all the different sizes

Card: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White

This is the largest layer and I used the single stamp
Packed for Birthday and coloured it in using Write Markers and a blender pen.

This is the second layer and the little butterflies are die cut using  Beautiful Wings Embosslits, there are actually 5 different sized butterflies on the die  so cute.

~This it the top layer,  the stamp set here is
Memorable Moments  it it  brilliant it has numbers
0 - 9,   then it has an:  st, nd, rd, th   and 3 separate stamps Happy,  Anniversary and  Birthday  so the skys the limit with this stamp set.

The ribbon is Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon

The great thing about this card is that as long that you can make it 4 high or even 5 high depending on the number of different sizes in the set of dies.

and surprisingly it was really quite quick to make.
