Everything Eleanor

What a beautiful weekend (weather wise) I could have been fooled into thinking spring was here. Thought I would just post a couple of cards before nipping to the shops.

I have made this card around what has to be my favourite stamp set in the catalogue (although I say that about several of them) 'Everything Eleanor' the leaves come from Autumn Splendor.
The text comes from Happiest Birthday Wishes and Create a Cupcake

I used Night of Navy and Bashful Blue card and the matching Bashful Blue designer paper from the subtles collection
Inks: Garden Green, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy
I simply stamped the images and then went over them with a blender pen to spread the ink before cutting them all out.
The Little Navy flowers are made using the four petal punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack.

February Craft Club

Yesterday was CRAFT DAY and although sadly Dee and Christina were unable to be with us we had a new Lady join us her name is Bali and what fun we had, in the first 2 minutes Bali became a seasoned member of our little group.
From the left, Wendy, Suzy, Me, Bali Trish and Kay

These are the projects we did:

This card uses the stamp set 'My Friend' available in the mini catalogue.
The flower was done by using write marker directly onto the stamp, with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers.
The baubles were stamped with black stazon and coloured in using write markers and blender pens.

The border at the top and bottom was done with the Lace Ribbon Border punch.

Faith in Nature and Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp sets were used for this card, both are hostess sets in Stampin'ups! main catalogue.

The image is coloured with Pink Pirouette, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz using daubers.

The card is Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.

This card was made using Soft Suede Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla card. and Paisley Petals Stamp set. The centre image was stamped with VersaMark and then coloured in using chalks.

We used the same image around the border, but embossed with clear embossing powder.

The text comes from Your a Gem Stamp Set available in the mini catalogue.

Finally we made this box. Both the cards and their envelopes fit inside.

I made the box quite deep so that it will hold between 6 and 10 cards depending on how much embellisments are on the cards.

The card used is Soft Suede and the Designer paper is Mocha Morning Speciality Papers.

Ain't Love Grand

I have had this set 'Ain't Love Grand' for some time but not played, so yestereday I decided to make a card using each stamp in the set and a box for them to go in. There are actually 6 stamps but I have made 7 cards, I used the Congrats stamp twice doing one in blue and one in pink.

This is the box with a window cut out and one of the cards showing through. I used Pink Pirouette card for the box and Crumb Cake for the frame around the window.

I made these two with:
Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, and Pretty in Pink card I coloured the images in using Stampin'Write Markers, and Blender Pens, using the same colour inks.

Punches used:
6cm scallop circle
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border

Dies: Circles 2 and Fun Flowers

For this one I used Basic Grey, Whisper White and Daffodil Yellow Card and Write Markers

and this one: Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Bashful Blue and Pear Pizzazz card.
The designer paper is from the Sale-a-braition pack. Again I coloured the image with Write Markers and blender pen

Card : Marina Mist, Real Red, Whisper White

Write Markers: Marina Mist and Real Red and More Mustard for the basket

Finally I used Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White for the one.

The background hearts are from the stamp set Confetti.

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back soon
Hugs to one and all

Sale-a-Bration Designer Papers

Morning and what a beautiful sunny one, except that I am freezing even with the heating on my hands are frozen, hey ho....
I just love the Designer papers in the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue and guess what ... they are FREE
Yes that's right FREE. For every £45 spent you can choose an item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue for FREE and as well as the usual 4 stamp sets this year there is a pack of designer papers as well and they are gorgeous.

For the card below I have used:
Pear Pizaz, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla Card Stock
Inks: Pear Pizaz, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait

I have embossed the centre of the card with the Square Lattice embossing folder.
The strip of designer paper on each side is from the Sale-a-Bration calalogue and is called 'Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper'
The image in the centre is stamped with the stamp set 'You Are Loved' from the mini catalogue, see how it matches the designer paper, I have used Stampin'Write Markers to colour the stamp.
I cut the oval using the Designer Frames and then finished of with some Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and a glimmer brad.
Again the Designer paper for the next to cards is from the Everyday Enchantment Papers.
For the card directly below I have used Peach Parfait and Night of Navy Card, added an Antique Brad to some Crochet Trim (Victoria).
I have used Fancy Flower punch, 5 Petal punch and the Boho Blossoms punch for the flower.

This one is made using Lucky Limeade and Night of Navy card stock
Again an Antique Brad around some Night of Navy Satin Ribbon, sadly the Night of Navy is retired but there are loads of other colours to choose from.
The greeting on both these cards is stamped in Whisper White Ink and the text is from the set 'Petite Pairs
Well I am off shopping now, so I will say bye for now and thank you for stopping by.
See you soon

Flowers For You

I don't know if you have woken up to the same sight as me this morning, a beautiful white blanket of snow covering everything.
I thought I would stay in the warm this morning and post a couple of cards.

This first card I have used Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.
Riding Hood Red and Basic Black Ink.

The flower is from the stamp set You Are Loved which is in the Mini Catalogue page 12. (Don't tell Peter but I am also using this set to make his Valentine Card).
The Text is from the sale.a.bration set Elementary Elegance.

I have embosed the red card on the bottom of the card using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

SHADOW CARD (sorry this photo is not too good)
This card has also been stamped using a set from the Mini Catalogue called Charming (on page 7).
The text if from the hostess set also in the mini and is called Swirls & Curls Verses I think it is really cute. I have punched it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered it onto a 1 3/8" punched circle.
The card stock is Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Garden Green and Baja Breeze
I have used the new 6 cm Scallop Circle punch to punch the window which is also available in the Mini Catalogue.

I am sure that most of you will know how to make a shadow card but just in case here are some dimensions for the one above.
It is so easy to make this type of card. You need 2 pieces of card 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" Score down the two short sides at 1/2" and 1" on both pieces of card. Fold the 2 outside score lines in a valley fold and the two inner score lines in a mountain fold. Do this on both pieces of card. Punch your window out of one piece of card and decorate as desired. Decorate the inside of the other piece of card . Lastly stick the two outside flaps on both pieces of card together to form your shadow card.

Anyway thank you so much for looking, happy snowballing.
